Terms of Service

1. Acceptance & eligibility

By creating an account or using Nebulingo you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.

2. Your account & security

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Do not share accounts, and enable two-factor authentication for stronger protection. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

3. Acceptable use

Use Nebulingo for personal, educational language learning. You may not run automated scripts or bots to farm XP or spam reviews or support tickets, attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service, misuse another person's guest-ticket access link, or misuse the AI features. Abuse may result in suspension, termination or refusal of public support access.

4. Pro subscriptions & billing

Core features are free. Nebulingo Pro is a paid subscription billed through our payment processor and merchant of record, Paddle. Subscriptions renew automatically for the chosen period (monthly or annual) at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account or via Paddle; cancellation stops future renewals, and your Pro access continues until the end of the paid period. Applicable taxes are handled by Paddle at checkout.

5. Refunds, payment disputes & chargebacks

If you have a billing problem, contact us first through Nebulingo Support and we will work with you in good faith, including issuing refunds where warranted or required by law (such as an EU right of withdrawal, where it applies). By subscribing, you authorise the recurring charges described above.

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us, or disputing charges for a subscription that our records show you knowingly purchased and actively used, may be treated as a breach of these Terms. To resolve such disputes we may retain and present records of your subscription and service usage (see Section 6), recover reasonable costs incurred, and suspend or terminate the account involved.

6. Activity logging

To keep accounts secure, prevent fraud, and resolve payment disputes, we log significant account events (such as sign-ins, subscription changes, and completed study sessions) as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the service you acknowledge this logging.

7. The service is provided "as is"

Nebulingo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we do not warrant any particular learning outcome or level of fluency. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss; nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Intellectual property

The Nebulingo name, logo, illustrations, learning content, and software are protected by intellectual-property rights. You may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer any part of the service without our written consent. You retain rights to content you submit, and grant us the licence needed to operate the service for you.

9. Termination

You may stop using Nebulingo and delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, engage in fraud or abuse, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including billing, disputes, intellectual property, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.

10. Changes & governing law

We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Nebulingo is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
